TranscribeFast reads the captions YouTube already stores for the video, whether the creator uploaded them or YouTube generated them. That is why most transcripts appear in a second or two. After the first fetch, the video is cached and loads instantly for everyone.
Yes. Getting a transcript is free, with no ads and no account. Bulk access for developers is coming as a paid API.
No. TranscribeFast reads the captions YouTube stores for the video. If a video has no captions at all (common for music videos), there is nothing to fetch. Videos with auto-generated captions work fine.
Every language the video has captions in. If a video has several caption tracks, use the language switcher above the transcript.
Yes. Toggle "show timestamps" to see the start time of every line. Each timestamp links to that moment in the video. The SRT export keeps full timing.
Press "copy for ChatGPT". It copies the transcript with a ready-made summary prompt. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI assistant.
Yes. Paste any Shorts URL and it resolves like a normal video.
TranscribeFast uses DataDad to understand visits to the transcript tool and its guide pages. This analytics setup does not send pasted video links, transcript text, or downloaded captions as custom events.
The tracker sends page paths, referring pages, and campaign details. DataDad processes request IP addresses and browser information to derive approximate location, browser and device categories, and a daily visitor identifier specific to this website.
We use cookieless analytics, keeping the temporary tab identifier in page memory. Separately, DataDad's servers check whether the website responds and measure response time. These uptime checks do not inspect transcripts in your browser.
