About TranscribeFast
TranscribeFast turns a YouTube link into a clean transcript in a few seconds: readable paragraphs instead of three-line caption fragments, timestamps that play the video from that moment, search, and downloads in TXT, SRT, VTT, and Markdown. An AI summary and translation into 35+ languages are one click away.
How it works
Most YouTube videos already have captions, either uploaded by the creator or generated by YouTube. TranscribeFast reads those captions, groups them into paragraphs at the pauses in speech, and saves the result. The first request for a video takes a few seconds; after that, it loads instantly for everyone.
Summaries and translations are written by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, from the transcript text. They are saved too, so each video is summarized or translated once.
What it costs
Nothing. There are no ads, no sign-up, and no limit for normal use. A paid API for developers who need transcripts in bulk is on the way.
Who runs it
TranscribeFast is a small independent project. It is not affiliated with YouTube or Google. Questions, bug reports, and feature ideas are welcome on the contact page.
